Natsume's Book of Friends - Natsume Yuujinchou is one of my favorite anime. If you are looking for a slice of life, nonchalant and healing anime, you should probably start watching. With the topic of youkai, it includes family relationship, friendship and human emotions. It brings warm, nostalgic with a bit sad feelings yet exciting events. The voice acting is also one of the aspects which makes the anime brilliant.
The first season was broadcasted in Summer Anime 2008. I have been watching every seasons since then. Seventh season is currently showed for Fall Anime 2024. There are also two anime movies: Natsume Yuujinchou Movie: Utsusemi ni Musubu and Natsume Yuujinchou: Ishi Okoshi to Ayashiki Raihousha. Crunchyroll has the whole collection to enjoy. You can also check it out on MyAnimeList.
In the poster, Natsume is the main character with a piece of paper on his lips. The round funny cat, Nyanko- sensei is his body guard. The orther two handsome men are important characters who are exorcists, Natori-san and Matoba-san (from left to right).
I personally like this cover magazine of Natsume's Book of Friends. You can also read the manga here in English ( all credits to the manga page). I haven't purchased any Natsume's merchandise but I plan to. I will update to the blog when I get them. I hope you enjoy the anime.
