Our Easter holiday lasted from Friday to next Monday so we spent time at our summer cottage with the whole family. The cottage was so atmospheric with Easter's traditional decoration. Teatime was in the afternoon with chocolate cake. We had nice and cosy dinner with lamb (traditional), eggs (of course) and traditional Easter desert. The weather was very pretty so we spent time walking and looking at the sky. Before bedtime, we went for sauna and enjoyed fireplace. And excitingly we had a small Easter's eggs hunting on Sunday.

It is traditional to have lambs for Easter. For starting, we had a competition with the hard boiled eggs. The winner is the one whose egg is not cracked in the end after all the fights.

Mämmi is Finnish traditional Easter' desert. It's made from rye. It is served with sugar and milk. It tastes a bit salted, a bit sweet and fully 'rye' @v@ The Pasha in the last one is alternative for gluten-free option.

Easter's twigs (I mentioned in the 1st Easter article)

Easter's colours are yellow and green. Yellow flowers are important. Also Easter grasses for the chickens are also needed.

They are the house's witches and ready to fly. All of them are very old, about 30 to 70 years old. I like them the most of Easter. They are so artistic and atmospheric.

Finally, Finnish famous Easter' eggs. I read the article on the newspaper of how worthy Fazer Finnish Easter eggs because they fill the whole egg with chocolate. I always share it with someone else since it is too much for me.
I also share a bit of the cottage and surroundings. In front of the house, there is a lake and it is completely frozen so we have been walking around. If you come to Finland, you should definitely spend time at a cottage, enjoying winter weather and sauna. But noted, bathroom and toilet can be a bit scary so be aware if you are not used to it.
